Should We Give Oregon Driver’s Licenses to Illegal Aliens?
-By Scott Rohter, April 2011
Senate Bill 845
Giving Oregon driver’s licenses to illegal aliens after they come here illegally is nothing less than telling them that coming to Oregon illegally in the first place is OK! It is defacto encouragement to break our laws, and for those who are already here and have already broken them, it is the encouragement to continue to break them! We don’t need to make it easier or more convenient for people to break our laws, or come here illegally! We need to make it harder!
As a general rule I like Mexicans. Most of the Mexicans that come here are not bad people, but along with them come the drug dealers and the criminals that corrupt our children, and rape our young women! Most illegal aliens appear to be good, hard-working people, but we are not really helping them by letting them come here illegally. We are actually taking advantage of them! We are enabling them, while some of us are actually enriching ourselves at their expense, and we are perpetuating an unhealthy, co-dependent relationship that exists between our two countries! If we really wanted to help these folks, then we would encourage them to stay home and fix their own country!
Mexico is a beautiful country. It is rich in natural resources and productive soil, and blessed with a wonderful climate and hard-working people, but it is a hell-hole and a drug state on our southern border, and it isn’t ever going to get any better if Mexicans keep leaving their country in the millions and migrating here to find safety and jobs! They need to create jobs in their own country, besides growing dope and making, transporting, and selling illegal drugs! And they need to make their streets safe for their own people! They need to stay home and repair their own country, and we need to encourage them to do that! Otherwise we will continue to have an unhealthy, co-dependent relationship with Mexico, and a hell-hole of a drug state located on our southern border!
