Newt 'World Order' Gingrich
Facts Don’t Lie
“The strategy of Progressive Establishment has always been to get the two most liberal candidates, one from each political Party nominated in their respected primaries, and then to promote the most progressive of those two candidates in the general election!”
1979 |
Newt Gingrich elected to Congress from Georgia’s 6th District. |
1989 |
Newt becomes House Minority Whip. |
1990 |
Newton L. Gingrich becomes a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the most influential progressive think tank and policy makers in America. |
1993 |
Newt Gingrich voted for NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement. |
1994 |
Newt Gingrich supported the WTO, the World Trade Organization. He voted for GATT, the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade that subjected Americans to the international authority of the WTO. See additional link. His testimony in front of the House Ways and Means Committee in 1994 included the following quote. “We need to be honest about the fact that we are transferring from the United States at a practical level, significant authority to a new organization. This is not just another trade agreement. This is doing something which twice, once in the 1940s and once in the 1950s, the U.S. Congress rejected… It is a very big transfer of power.” Newt Gingrich said those words, and yet he still voted for GATT. As the House Minority Whip, he had the power to postpone that vote until after the next election, until it could have been modified or defeated, yet he allowed it to be passed in a 'lame duck' session of Congress. As the House Minority Whip, he also encouraged his fellow Republicans to vote for it! See my article Newt Worthy or Not from March 2011. Newt Gingrich bears the responsibility as much as anyone else, for the huge trade imbalances that are hurting America today, and for transferring America’s sovereignty on matters having to do with foreign trade to an international authority. |
1994 |
Newt Gingrich said that in order to understand him, you had to read Alvin Toffler’s book The Third Wave. In this book, homosexuality, promiscuity, adultery, divorce, and abortion are all viewed as perfectly normal. These are subjects that Newt Gingrich knows a lot about! |
1995 |
Newt Gingrich becomes Speaker of the House. |
1995 |
Newt Gingrich writes the foreword to Toffler’s new book, Creating a New Civilization: the Politics of the Third Wave. |
1995 |
“The American challenge in leading the world is compounded by our Constitution… Either we are going to have to rethink our Constitution or we are going to have to rethink our process of making decisions.” That is a direct quote from a speech that Newt Gingrich gave to the Center for Strategic and International Affairs in 1995. It doesn't sound like the former Speaker has a lot of respect for the Constitution. He seems to view our Constitution as an impediment or an obstacle. |
1995 |
With Bill Clinton occupying the WhiteHouse, Newt Gingrich advocates from the floor of the House of Representatives for the repeal of the War Powers Act, in order to increase the power of the Presidency. |
1999 |
Newt Gingrich resigns over the failed midterm elections, in which Republicans lost 5 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, which was the worst loss in history for a political Party who did not control the WhiteHouse! At the same time he was also involved in a flap over an extramarital affair, and a controversial book deal, and there were also substantive ethics violations. After resigning Newt goes into business as a high priced Washington D.C. lobbyist and political consultant. |
2002-2008 |
Newt's firm receives between 1.6 and 1.8 million dollars from Freddie Mac to remarket the failing financial institution to a skeptical Congress. |
2008 |
Newt records the “We Can Solve It” global warming TV commercial for Al Gore, with Nancy Pelosi. He wasn’t just helping Al Gore promote the discredited concept of global warming. He was helping himself too. In 2009 his firm received over $300,000 from an ethanol lobby. See Newt Shows His True Colors Again by Joe Farah at WorldNetDaily.com. |
2009-2010 |
Newt Gingrich travels around the country with Al Sharpton and Arne Duncan, promoting President Obama’s new educational policies i.e. increased local control of schools along with increased Federal subsidies and more regulations from Washington. (How exactly does that work?) |
